A Happy New Year to all of you...
It has been impossible to find time to write here the last few weeks of 2007. For a pastor, Christmas always is a busy time.
One of the things we had in church was a music evening, as every year. Last year I demonstrated my hulusi (chinese flute), this year I could play a bit on a native american flute I bought in S Dakota when I was at NAIITS conference. Native flutes have a beautiful sound, they differ from western flutes in have either 5 or 6 holes. They are based on a pentatonic scale just as the chinese ones. It is fun playing those, beside the ordinary western flutes (which also sound beautiful...)
There are many ways to share the Christmas gospel. One is to play it with hand-made puppets, as my wife did for a number of school classes, while I was reading the texts to it. Amazing to see how small children forget everything and are completely involved in the play!
Look back here, I hope to update a bit more often in the future.
